Shipping policy

Under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have a right to cancel your order within 14 days of ordering or receiving your goods. You must give me notice of your intent to cancel by contacting me at kim@thepatchworkshop.co.uk.  Please provide your name, telephone number and order number. 

All orders are processed within 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.  

There will be a notification bar on the home page, and a separate notification on the checkout page if I will be away on holiday.  You are very welcome to continue to place your order during these times, but obviously your order won't be processed until the first working day after my return.

If there are delays due to a high volume of orders or postal service problems that are outside of our control, we will do what we can to let you know. 

Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates 

Parcels are sent first class via the Royal Mail. 

For calculated shipping rates: Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.  

I offer free shipping on orders over £75.

Local pickup for Gloucestershire and Herefordshire Residents 

You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup in Newent, Gloucestershire by prior arrangement only. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 3 business days.

I will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions to arrange your pickup date and time.  

Our local pickup hours are 9:00am – 7.30pm Monday to Saturday. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come. 

International Shipping 

Unfortunately, I can’t currently offer international shipping outside of the UK.  This includes Jersey, Guernsey and Ireland.  Please make sure that you have subscribed to the newsletter so that you know when this service becomes available. 

How do I check the status of my order? 

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.  

If you haven’t received your order within 5 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact me at kim@thepatchworkshop.co.uk with your name and order number, and I will look into it for you. 

Refunds, returns, and exchanges 

You can view my full Returns Policy here.  In summary: 

We accept returns up to 30 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return.  

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at kim@thepatchworkshop.co.uk with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
